About me

From photojournalism to event photography — the speed has remained.

Photojournalism was my training ground. Football in the rain, red carpets, press conferences, the Pope in the stadium. Working alone, no second chances, no room for error. Entire newspaper pages depended on my shots.

I bring this mindset to every corporate event. I don’t wait for everything to be perfect. I recognize the moment as it unfolds.

The impact of such images is hard to measure. There is no A/B testing for photography. But there are traces:

An Austrian startup had me photograph their Hamburg event. The images appeared in Forbes and international media shortly before a $23.6 million funding round. I can’t prove whether the photos played a role, but the company was certainly visible.

The European Wood-Based Panel Symposium has been using my photos for over ten years for invitations and to announce their next event.

A LinkedIn post after a corporate event reached over 130 likes. This isn’t an exception; it’s the goal of every assignment.

At 1.90 meters tall, I’m never truly invisible at an event. Yet my clients quickly forget I’m even there. That is intentional.

I usually photograph alone and have been doing so for 27 years, from small gatherings to large congresses. Just in case, I have a network of colleagues I know personally who can step in. You will never be left without a photographer.

Raised in the Eifel region, I’ve called Hamburg home for nearly 20 years. I feel just as comfortable out in the world: I speak fluent English, French, and even Luxembourgish. Perhaps it wasn’t a coincidence that my name means “light” in Latin.

The right dress code is simply part of it, because it gives the event its framework. Let's discuss before the event.

Instant pictures during the event? No problem. For social media or for sharing with the press. Directly on site.

The equipment is important for my work, of course. Besides cameras, lenses and many memory cards, eyes and instinct are my most valuable tools.

My photo archive is online around the clock and double backed up. In case the link to the online gallery is in the wrong mailbox and images are needed quickly.

Built in '82 and with 27 years experience photographing events large and small.

Hamburg may be my (adopted) home, but I feel at home in the world. I speak fluent English, French and even Luxembourgish.

What could be more personal than a photo of your guests printed out at the event directly to take home? With your logo, motto and advertising message?

With my modern photo printers, this can be done in seconds.

Patrick stands out for his straightforward, goal-oriented approach to collaboration!
