Volkswagen gave a guest performance with its Pop Up! store in seven German city centres. Of course also Hamburg. The agency Zibert+Friends had set up a shop with a cuddly vintage atmosphere. A DJ session and a live talk with Björn Beneditz from Deichkind, a lottery and of course good coffee attracted hipsters and crowds to visit Schanzen. In the shop they could take a seat with a HTC Vive Virtual Reality glasses directly in the VW Up! and try out the different colour combinations of the small car.
What could be more obvious than to take a VR photo for Facebook for the communication about the event. Here directly the link to the Facebook posting.
360-degree panorama photos have been around for quite some time. Google Street View has made them known to the masses. Since June 2016, they are now also available on Facebook and offer for Live Communication an addition to Events and temporary architecture in social media to bring. With smartphone or VR glasses even thanks to the built-in motion sensor so that the panorama automatically rotates according to the viewing direction.
The classic photos have been edited according to the agency’s specifications in a trendy look so that the pictures harmonize with those from the other cities.
