Volkswagen made guest performance with its Pop Up! store in seven German cities. Hamburg, too, of course. In the Schanze, Hamburgs hipster district, the agency Zibert + Friends had raised a shop with cuddly vintage athmosphere. A DJ session and a live talk with Björn Beneditz from German rap group Deichkind, a sweepstake and good coffee attracted yound people in droves. With HTC Vive virtual reality glasses they could experience the VW Up and test out its different colour combinations.
What could be more obvious than taking a VR photo for Facebook for communication about the event. Here is the link directly to the Facebook posting.
360-degree panoramic photos have been around for a long time. Google Street View has made them known to the masses. Since June 2016, they have also been unlocked on Facebook and offer a complement to live communication to bring events and temporary architecture to social media. With smartphone or VR glasses thanks to the built-in motion sensor the panorama automatically rotates according to the direction of view.
I took classic photos and edited them according to the agency’s specifications in trendy look, so that the pictures harmonize with those from the other cities.
